leaves change color
leaves fall from the trees
trees are bare
it gets chilly outside
2nd Grade Science
What's a xylem? (pronounced: zi - lum)
A xylem is the part of the flower's stem that drinks up water
and delivers it to the entire plant... leaves and petals included.
That's what our second grade botanists learned in science class.
And ... why is it spelled with an "x" and not a "z"?
Well, that's anybody's guess.
The English language is made up of over 10 different languages...
no wonder spelling is hard!
