STUDENT LIFE

A Day In The Life Of YBH

YBH Kids Grateful for Playground Equipment

SLOW DOWN ...

RE-THINK  IT

Because each word expressed

may cause another

devastation or

success!

Dear Board Members,

Thank you for the new playground.                             I love the wheel on it and the slide.

 It's amazing.

Love,

Rafi

Dear Sirs,

I love the new playground. I am so excited to play on it.  Thank you so much !

Much love,

Duvie

Dear Board Members,

I would like to thank you for the colorful playground. I really can't wait to play on it.

Love, Syrah

STOP, THINK, LISTEN

How would I feel, if something was said to me?

Still think what you're saying is okay?

Or can you understand the impact of your words

from someone else's perspective?

it gets chilly outside

2nd Grade Science

           What's a xylem?  (pronounced: zi - lum)

A xylem is the part of the flower's stem that drinks up water

and delivers it to the entire plant... leaves and petals included.

That's what our second grade botanists learned in science class.

And ... why is it spelled with an "x" and not a "z"?

      Well, that's anybody's guess.

The English language is made up of over 10 different languages...

      no wonder spelling is hard!
